🙅🏻♀️NO SHORTCUTS HERE!🙅🏻♀️
🔒Trust me, I wish there were to. But as a PT It's my responsibility to educate you that your body probably didn't come to be the way it has overnight (unless there was a sudden injury), so it likely will not be "fixed" overnight.
🔓The things do feel like they "fixed" whatever was going on in a suspiciously short amount of time are more of than than not, a bandaid for a larger issue. (WONDERFUL, and SUPER USEFUL, but only temporary.)
👉🏼 I think as PTs we collectively need to make an effort to educate people that the patient’s body, nerves, muscles are what drive change. Especially in the age of easily accessible resources.
🤲🏼 My hands, that post that says "fix your ____" or "bulletproof your _____" will only do so much if done inconsistently.
❗️So BIG disclaimer with all the videos you see on IG:
1) they likely weren't made for your exact situation
2) you have to do them for a long time to truly FEEL and SEE change.
💯 They are GREAT resources built by incredibly knowledgeable people, but the body runs its own game.
👉🏼 It CAN be done. You will get better/fixed/healed/unlocked/etc, but this. sh*t. takes. practice.
🔑 Consistency is key, for everything. It's not anyyy different when it comes to the body.
