Tonight’s been a little bit scary. On the way walking to my counselling session I developed a large amount of pain in my chest which hurt to breath. I had shoulder pain since Monday and thought nothing of it till the pain started radiating there too and went numb, then I was unable to use or lift it. After my counselling session I went to the gp in the hope they’d give me something to ease the pain. They were however worried and rushed me to the hospital with a suspected stroke. After a night of having xrays, ct scans, blood tests, neurological tests and more I am finally home and exhausted. I’m still in a lot of pain. I still have chest pain, tonsillitis, weakness and reduced movement in my entire left side and no usage of my arm at all but i am glad it was nothing serious they could see. They’ve said to come back if I don’t feel better and given me some strong medicine so I’m hoping a weekend of rest will sort it out. Loosing function of my arm has been very scary. Thankyou to the incredible nhs staff who where nothing but kind and put me at ease when I panicked being told I was showing signs of a stroke. I truly am grateful for the nhs and the lovely staff who work for it!
