The first picture was the picture used for Bruce's adoption post from a shelter in the South. I couldn't ignore it, and called the number right away.
I explained I was a rescuer and can't let a kitten that sick, be adopted like this. I offered to take him, get him healthy and look for a home for him. The shelter agreed to hand you over to me the next morning.
It took a few months to deal with the severe eye infection, that took away one eye and the other one is non-functioning either.
Also, he was the worst kitten I've ever met. Bites non stop, as any other kitten, but aims for the face. While you're sleeping. He did grow out of it thankfully.
Eventually, he was healthy and ready for a home, but after he was returned from a foster home for being "too needy", I just couldn't let anyone else be his family.
My big boy Bruce, you're 2 today. You're officially ours for just over a year, and you're the best addition to our little family. You love everyone, you only throw up when we're not around and you're THE BEST cuddler I've ever met.
Mommies love you so much, Brucie-roo. Even if sometimes other mommy says she'll put you outside... ❤
